About Charise Carter

“Find Out How This Formerly Shy, Straight-A Student Who Followed All the Rules, Bucked the System, Left Her ‘Good, Secure Job’ as an Engineer, and Now Lives Life on Her Own LuScious Terms.”

Charise CarterSince you’re on this page, I’m guessing you might want to know a bit more about who I am and what I do. I can appreciate that.

Instead of the usual “titles” like I’m an internet marketer or I’m in direct sales I’ve chosen a few more colorful titles to add to the list like being a Spiritual Rockstar, a Blissciplined Pleasure Revolutionary, and a JCC – JuiCy Cashflow Creatrix ;) .

“Always learn the rules so you can break them properly…” ~Dalai Lama

Why LuScious you may ask and what does that have to do with business? Well, basically because it’s a powerful word that tunes my mind up a notch and causes me to think Bigger and JuiCier… Rather than just eating any kind of food, why not sloooowly savoring luscious food you love that adds to your life? Or instead of being in a “good” relationship, how about a luscious relationship? Or instead of always working for money especially if it’s something I don’t particularly enjoy, how can I flip the script? How about loving what I do and how I show up in the world and having money work for me? It’s about asking Bigger, better questions and playing the game of life full out and that can get pretty wild and scary sometimes.

However, as a Pleasure Revolutionary I consciously choose to live a luscious life that I love. Awake. Present. Tasting, touching, & feeeeeling Life and that includes operating a luScious business that lights me up and turns me {on}. This allows me to serve from my Soul in an authentic way that fills me up! I’m a Soul-dier :)

Life’s too precious to live turned {off}. Our life in the end is comprised of moment to moment experiences and I’ve decided to squeeze every juiCy lil drop out of life.

One of my simplest mottos…

Forgive fast. Laugh loud. Love BIG. Live Now.

Ya feel me?

But let me jump back a little bit… I’ve been an entrepreneur and working from home full-time since 1998 after my very brief 3-year tour of duty in corporate america.

I got my degree in computer science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign back in 1995. Go Fighting Illini!

Charise-Carter-daddyI went into engineering because my dad who was an electrical engineer steered me in that direction and of course I wanted to make daddy proud. I’d always gotten good grades in school so when it came time to go off to college I was able to go on a full scholarship.

After graduation I began working in corporate america and I HATED it. I’d worked at this same company during my summer vacations so I’d already started to get this icky feeling that this was not something I wanted to do ’til I was 65. I longed for FREEDOM and couldn’t phathom the idea of living my life confined and restricted to a 9-5 so what did I do…

“Don’t let your schooling get in the way of your education.” ~Mark Twain

… I left and never looked back. I know daddy wasn’t happy when I left that good, paying job behind but I had to do what was best for Charise and I’m forever grateful that he taught me how to be an independent thinker because that’s what sparked me to ask different questions and seek the answers for myself. Thanks Da :) . Hey, at least he wasn’t out any money. lol

Success Always Leaves Clues…

Charise-Carter-bookOne of my mentors early on said, “If you want to be successful, study the successful man or woman.” So that’s exactly what I did. I became a student of success and eventually had the priviledge of co-authoring a book with some of my favorite authors including Mark Victor Hansen, Deepak Chopra, and Wayne Dyer entitled, “Wake Up… Live The Life You Love: Finding Personal Freedom.” It’s filled with inspiring stories to get people to “wake up” and begin living a life they love rather than sleepwalk through life unfulfilled and unhappy.

I continuously read mind-expanding books, listen to audios, and attend events to study successful people (in various industries) because success always leaves clues.

Since contributing to the book, I’ve had even more “Aha!” moments and juiCy “epiphanies” … JUICE/Power/Connection that I infuse into my business and my life.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” ~Anais Nin

You see, I’ve come to recognize that my business is simply an extension of me and how I express mySelf in the world so I get to choose and create it as JuiCy and FUN as I desire it to be… again bucking the system and the norm.

How Do You Make Money Charise?

Unstoppable Entrepreneur Charise CarterBeing an entrepreneur has been one of the most liberating choices I’ve ever made even with all of the early “failures”. I was not an overnight “success”. I don’t believe any honest, heart-centered leader in this industry will say they were. There was a process of personal growth and skill development and above all, persistence because there was NO way I was going back to a j.o.b.!

One of the most important things I’ve learned in studying wealthy, successful people is the importance of leverage. Leveraging money. Leveraging time. Leveraging systems. And leveraging other people’s money, time and knowledge. Leverage. Leverage. Leverage. It’s all about the leverage baby! ;)

So rather than work for linear income trading time for dollars, I use leverage whether that’s through building immediate cashflow and residual income through the greatest form of free enterprise ever created (network marketing or direct sales systems), putting my money to work and multiplying it in different investments or using other people’s expertise and knowledge to create more wealth.

In my book, Cashflow Is Queen!

Do you want to work hard for money working for linear income always trading time for dollars?

OR…

Do you want to expand your capacity for wealth, generate large amounts of cashflow and put money to work for you so you can enjoy life?

I choose the later that’s for sure! And I’m proud to be a part of an industry that has set more people free and created more millionaires than real estate, entertainment, and sports combined.

The unfortunate thing I see is that most don’t even realize they have a choice. In traditional schools we’re taught how to be an employee or how to be self-employed which both limit you financially because it’s only you making the money. There is no leverage. Even if you’re a doctor or lawyer, if something happens to you where you can not work, what happens to your income? It evaporates. Uh-oh. Not good.

“The richest people in the world look for and build networks, everyone else looks for work.” ~Robert Kiyosaki

In today’s world more than ever it’s important to become your OWN economy, surround yourself with the right people and never, ever stop growing. So, if this “shy”, quiet girl from the south side of Chicago could do it, what do you think is possible for you?

Anything.

xoxo,

Charise Carter

PS. Yes there’s more. I couldn’t end this page without mentioning my cutie pies :) . Hubby and I have produced 3 amazing and very different little people. They inspire me to keep becoming More. I started home schooling them a few years ago and you better believe that we do things “outside the box”. The world is our classroom and financial literacy is one of our core curriculums as I work towards creating real generational wealth. Even the baby knows what an asset is although she doesn’t really care yet. lol
